The customer is a well-known supermarket chain in Europe. In response to the drastic changes for consumer behavior in retail during the post-epidemic era, the international supermarket chain decided to implement a new purchasing method “click and collect (purchase items online and pick them up in-store)”, which means the clients can order products online and collect the purchasing items outside the stores at a specific time to avoid the risk of people’s physical contact.
Since 2020, the customer began to deploy TC601 mobile computer, a light and rugged barcode scanning handheld device to meet the requirement of the orders from online purchase and physical store pick up to improve the efficiency of click and collect procedure. In response to the customer’s equipment purchase plan in 2023, iMotion actively participated in project bidding and won the order for the second time, establishing iMotion’s market share in the retail industry in the European market. Furthermore, the device needs to come with a mechanical keyboard to fit the European’s user behavior, along with customized software integration to sync the device with the mechanical keyboard, making the data flow smoothly. TC601 has been sold in Europe, USA and Australia, successfully expanding the business internationally.
